Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski Tells Katie Couric: Sarah Palin lacks 'leadership qualities' and 'intelluctual curiosity'

From CBS News: Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowki told CBS News' Katie Couric today that she would not support Sarah Palin for president because Palin lacks the "leadership qualities" and "intellectual curiosity" to craft great policy.

"You know, she was my governor for two years, for just about two years there, and I don't think that she enjoyed governing," Murkowski said. "I don't think she liked to get down into the policy." The Alaska senator added that she prefers a candidate who "goes to bed at night and wakes up in the morning thinking about how we're going to deal with" important issues.

There are additional segments from the interview, at the CBS News link, above.

Senator Murkowski has gone even further than those who won't say that Palin is qualified to be President; she has flatly said that she would not support a Palin candidacy. What the Senator says about Palin's lack of interest in governing is true. If Palin were interested in anything more than the ceremonial duties of office, she would work to find solutions to the country's problems rather than continually sniping at President Obama in her quest for attention, and she would not have quit on the people of Alaska when the going got tough.

Well, that will not endear her to Sarah! Not that Lisa cares. There is no love lost between them.

While Palin attracts many people for the wrong reasons, her marketing strategy is working. Yet the people who follow her are blind to the damage Sarah Palin is doing to America. Palin claims to be an American patriot. Yet, Palin is driving a stake through the heart of this country. She is digging into the very fabric of what used to be foundational American beliefs, and throwing them to the wind. She is replacing American beliefs with her marketing teams' new belief system and selling to America under the cover of being a good ol' American girl that loves God.

First of all, a true patriot would not use hate to divide Americans to the point of murder. If Palin was a true patriot she would seek ways to unite us as one people through our common values. She would try to help the country heal if she were a true patriot. Palin helps to contribute to creating this attitude of hate between democrats and republicans and convincing her followers that they need to get guns to take back the government.

Wait a minute..."take back the government?" ...From who? Fellow Americans? Is that her message? Kill, hate, mistreat those who think differently than we ourselves do? That is not American, and that is not an American value. This country does not need more loose canons calling for a revolution between Americans. Wasn't one Civil War enough pain, death and destruction for this country? Shouldn't we be learning how to work together? Shouldn't we come back to basics? Americans need to learn the art of compromise again. We must learn to give and take to come to an AMERICAN SOLUTION not a democrat or republican solution. It must be a little from both sides for it to work. We must learn to be considerate, empathetic, and respectful of our fellow Americans. That is an American value. Respecting our right to believe what we want.

So, now we have to worry about what nut case might shoot us because they believe Palin is correct in that people must get guns and force their way on everyone who is different. I am sorry, but this country is in the condition it is in because people do not take the time to vote properly. People vote for someone because the person put down someone they too dislike? I am sorry, but is this how we put someone in charge of our Nuclear Arsenal? Do we really want Palin in charge of our Nuclear Arsenal when she already was caught using her power to FIRE her sister's ex-husband, who was a state trooper, simply because her sister no longer liked him? People that use their power in this way are abusive of power and dangerous. HAVE WE LEARNED NOTHING FROM PREVIOUS MISTAKES.
