Sarah Palin Isn't Running, Or Is Poorly Advised, Or is Lazy

When Sarah Palin was in Iowa to deliver a speech at the annual Ronald Reagan dinner, she spent her free time jogging, not running. Jeff Zeleny of The NY Times tells us in more detail what she failed to do while in Iowa:

... It [a joke about running] was an efficient way for Ms. Palin to address the elephant in the room. Yet if she really had made up her mind whether to seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, she may have spent her afternoon here a bit differently.

Republicans in Iowa, as in many places these days, believe they are on the cusp of resurgence. The party is hoping to take back the governor’s office, which 12 years ago Democrats won for the first time in a generation.

It is the season when candidates — and their events — are everywhere, but Ms. Palin spent little of her time with them. She did not appear at a rally, impromptu campaign stop or closed-door one-on-one meetings with party activists. The few Republicans who did get a moment of private time with her had to wait in a photo line at a small reception.

When politicians accept speech invitations at party occasions, particularly outings like the annual Ronald Reagan Dinner, they often do a host of behind-the-scenes events. It is a mutually beneficial arrangement. But Ms. Palin declined to do any additional appearances. Instead, she went for a run.

The reception Ms. Palin received on Friday evening from a crowd of 1,500 people was enthusiastic and polite. She was greeted and sent on her way with standing ovations. But she did not carry the crowd with her through the entire 33-minute speech. When she talked about the beauty of the Tea Party movement, the party activists in the room barely responded. ...

God is trying to tell Sarah to give it up and go home. His message is evidently too subtle for Sarah to receive. If she'd clean the ego out of her ears, she might actually hear His guidance.

Lazy? Absolutely! Poorly advised? Maybe, but it seemingly has worked for her so far. Running? Absolutely. She has to run to keep the worship of the queen at a fever pitch. This is what I was referencing in Custer's Last Stand?

Palin is a fading star. It's hard to make her out anymore. We're witnessing Sarah implode due to the vacuousness of her mind.

Could Sarah's speeches be any more boring? She obviously believes in recycling(speeches).

I have been saying for the last year she is not running. I don't see why everyone else can't see this (I am not the brightest bulb). She loves raking in the money, which she wouldn't as President. Not to mention, wtf would she do with Todd in the White House? Expose their family turmoil in front of grand staff? The fighting? What would she do with her druggie kids in the White house? Willow in a private DC school? Those kids have no manners and speak like street fighters. That wouldn't go over so well. But most importantly, she is handed speeches and travels outside Alaska for a lot of money. She would trade her children in to keep that flow steady. SHe is playing everyone by keeping them guessing to keep the money coming in. She has no intention of running for president.

Running? Nope, she can't handle the responsibility. Lazy? Absolutely! THis is yet another reason why she is not really running for anythin! Poorly advise? Probably But that assumes she listens to her advisors...I really doubt that! Keep in mind folks, this is not about Paylin's concerns about AmeriKa...this is all about HER and the $$$$$.

So is KUDO progressive radio there in Anchorage still up and running as a Progressive talk radio station? As of yesterday, KTRC the progressive talk radio here in Santa Fe was replaced with right-wing talk radio. No notice. Their website does not give notice of an impending change. Odd. DID THEY THINK NO ONE WOULD NOTICE?

Duh! Any idiot can tell the difference between RIng of Fire with Mike Papantonia & Bobby Kennedy Jr. and some woman screaming about President Obama not feeling PRIVILEGED being the President of the United States and like he really doesn't want the job because Michelle (who EVERYBODY knows HATES the job of First Lady....) RUNS the show. Huh?

So maybe this was all some missunderstanding...or the Republicans are so bloody scarred WE might succeed that they will stoop to anything including shutting down the airways to misslead the public?

I'm an Iowan, and most of the people here, even the Conservatives, aren't big supporters of her. It's her conduct after the 2008 election that's turned them off, especially her quitting for financial gain.
*IF* she does run, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Iowa stops her. She won't win the caucuses here. I'd bet a large amount of money on that.

Every once in a while you'll see someone write a post about how Palin is definitely going to run for President or definitely not going to run for President, and I think -- why has no one considered that she might, sort of, "do both?" That is to say, run for President, but in a way that assures she'll never be President. The fact is that running for President is an extremely lucrative thing to do. Even Carol Moseley-Braun's making some bank, I'm sure! And Palin's perfected the barebones operation -- she literally does everything through ghostwritten garble on social media platforms. Pretty low overhead. And with an army of supporters that will subsidize her travel anywhere in the world, she's be stupid not to take this celebrity game to the next level and be the presidential candidate these reality-teevee times call for. -- Jason Linkins, Huffington Post
