Here, we see Sarah Palin laughing maniacally. An aide has just informed her that DSM-5 (due to be published in 2013) will no longer include narcissistic personality disorder.
DSM-5 is the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition, and it will replace the 4th edition, which is currently being used by clinicians to diagnose mental disorders.
Some more information about the new manual and its elimination of the narcissistic personality disorder diagnosis can be read in a NY Times article, "A Fate That Narcissists Will Hate: Being Ignored," which inspired this post.

Thanks. I'm off to read the article. I want you to know that I appreciate the time you take to chose articles to share. Little gems.
I think there should be a "hug a blogger" day. Don't you?
DiAnne, Why not? Thanks for reading.
